父親が牧師で、幼少期よりゴスペルを歌って育ったHorace Brown。1991年、友人のDevanteに渡したデモテープがきっかけとなり、その後バックシンガーなどの経験を積む。Uptown Recordsよりデビュー予定でしたが、社長のMotownへの移籍とともに彼も連れていかれ、1996年に本作をリリース。シングルカットされている、Thing We Do For Love, Taste Your Loveなども良いのですが、その他の曲、Why Why Why, How Can We Stop, I Want You Baby, Gotta Find a Wayが秀逸で、完成度の高いアルバムです。11曲目のYou Need A ManはDevanteのプロデュース。
